Katherine Atkinson

Chief Commercial Officer

Katherine Atkinson serves as Evofem Biosciences’ Chief Commercial Officer. Mrs. Atkinson has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare and life science industries where she has continuously created high performing teams that achieve and exceed commercial goals.

Prior to joining Evofem, Katherine served as the Senior Vice President of Commercial at Truvian where she created the foundational brand and narrative architecture, and built the market strategy.  Prior to Truvian, Katherine was Chief Commercial Officer at Epic Sciences where she identified new strategic business opportunities and deepened strategic partnerships, as well as rebranded the company.

Mrs. Atkinson previously held leadership roles at Edico Genome and Illumina, where she led its international channel team. During her tenure at Illumina, she oversaw numerous teams, including molecular biology/PCR sales, Inside Sales, and Latin America, managing sales valued at up to $1.5 billion. She started and developed Illumina’s Global Channel Partners Program, encompassing more than 70 partners covering 130 countries worldwide and delivered double-digit growth, year over year, growing from $70 million to $350 million within five years. Mrs. Atkinson has also held positions at Fisher Scientific, Thermo Fisher, and Beckman Coulter.

Katherine holds a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and Public Speaking from the University of Houston.
