Our Story
Evofem LLC is a privately held bio-technology company that brings advanced prescription and consumer products to global markets. Through its subsidiaries, Evofem Inc. and Cosmederm Bioscience, Evofem discovers, develops and commercializes prescription and over-the-counter products, in the areas of dermatology, pain management, feminine care, contraception, and the prevention of sexually transmitted infections. Evofem’s Amphora, a non-hormonal vaginal contraceptive gel, is currently undergoing a global Phase III clinical trial to prove its efficacy. Amphora is already FDA-approved as a sexual lubricant, and is anticipated to fill a critical gap in the market as an inexpensive, easy-to-use product that is woman-controlled and only used when necessary, on-demand.
Evofem is working to expand the contraceptive method mix and offer women more choices in how they plan their families, by developing new products that are:
- Hormone-free
- Pericoital (use only when needed and rapidly reversible)
- Woman-controlled
- Inexpensive and easy to use
